Facebook – Combination of visuals and text-based information. Facebook is really used and landing pages and community interaction now. Have an up-to-date coalition page with contact information, event lists, etc. almost a shareable extension of a website and a place members can interact with each other! Post minimum monthly.
Instagram – Visuals first. Catch attention and then further communicate in captions or stories or if you can communicate everything in a visual its even better. Post weekly. Most recommended platform.
Twitter – Since twitter has character limitations and is a text-based platform, short informative posts done with frequency get the best engagement. Keep it to the point and the main things that need to be communicated. Use as needed.
TikTok – While TikTok is still considered an emerging social platform its time spent on the app far exceeds the other main social platforms. Videos are maximum 3 minutes long and should be used with the intention of being shared as part of a trend, or “stitching” for reacting or recreation. Engagement is measured in number of times viewed and shared. Use for a high youth engagement. Post weekly if interested in using the platform.
